In this seminar, students describe important interactions within governmental law enforcement and development ministries through the interplay of law enforcement’s role as an advocate of transparency with its obligation to protect women abroad, as well as the interplay of the United Nations High Commission on Women’s Rights with implementation of the new UN Special Rapporteur on Women, and on women programs, Women and Women of Global Change, with implications for the implementation of women’s rights at UN institutions throughout the world. Excerpts from the seminar offer elements of advice.
